The Band

HOLZSCHEIT are a power trio from the outskirts of Munich. They play their bluesy raw version of what Bluesrock is all about.
In 2017, the band was at last reunited by Manuel v. Grafenstein and brothers Frederik and Dominik Scholz after a hiatus of well over twenty years.
Their bubbling BLUESROTZ brew is occasionally supplemented by the appearance of illustrious guest musicians on harps, guitars and vocals.
HOLZSCHEIT feature a guitar-driven version of classic Rock and Blues styles, paying their dues to greats such as ZZ Top, Hendrix and Vaughan, as well as digging even deeper into the more traditional Blues of masters like Sonny Boy Williamson and Muddy Waters.

Their lauded live shows are a tasteful blend of edgy self-penned tracks, originals and adaptions of vintage songs like “Frankenstein Girl”, “Hoodoo Voodoo” and “Rollin' & Tumblin'”, and customized but authentic cover versions of classics like “All along the watchtower” and “Just got paid”.

The spirit of these live performances seeps through every pore of their recording debut BLUESROTZ I.
HOLZSCHEIT’s music is built around and beneath the versatile and colorful guitar and slide guitar playing of Manuel v. Grafenstein, and the timber thick textures of brothers Frederik and Dominik Scholz groove to shake yer booties on bass and drums, rounded off by Manuel's and Dominik's alternating lead vocals and raw to bloody all-three backing vocals.

The band member's close friendship becomes evident in their collective attitude and interaction, creating an intimate and relaxed musical atmosphere, easy for listeners to connect with.
